The API is mainly for printing companies to provide data into the Prinspector environment, mainly from ERP or color measurement systems.\n\n### General considerations\n\n#### Authorization\n\nCurrently, the API access is authorized through API-tokens, issued by Printspector upon request. These tokens are passed to the api by setting the 'Authorization' header to 'Bearer ', replacing '' by the actual token.\n\n#### Date and time handling\n\nThe Printspector API accepts all timestamp fields as '2025-10-27T15:16:17Z' ISO timestamps. As Printspector operates within an international context, often spanning multiple timezones, we strongly recommend passing in all timestamps in UTC.\n\nFor rendering, the Printspector application will use the actual timezone at the press, or the timezone of the user, as configured. The API will always return timestamps as UTC.\n\n#### Request and response as JSON\n\nMost request take and produce information in JSON format. For this, it is advised to pass in \"Accept: application/json\" and \"Content-Type: application/json\" headers where appropriate.\n\n### Data model\n\n#### Presses\n\nA press (in the future 'machine', as Printspector also targets other machines, such as laminating machines and die-cutters) is a physical machine, having a serial number, brand, common name and optional description.\n\nA press has a continuous stream of press speeds (sampled for example each 15 seconds or each minute), characterized by a timestamp (when the speed was measured), a speed measurement (in meters per minute, or sheets per minute), and optionally a raw counter value (indicating either axl revolutions or meters passed).\n\n#### Jobs\n\nA print run ('job') is an individual instance of a design being printed on a physical machine, resulting in printed packaging or cardboard. It has\n\nA job typically has one or more unique identifiers within the printer's ERP system. In Printspector, several fields are available to accomodate these identifiers: name (conscise job name), description (textual full job name), number (printer's identifier) and client (customer's name).\n\nA job also has a reference date (and time), reflecting when the job is printed (for sorting and filtering purpuses).\n\nA job has optional attributes, that can be provided as key -> value pairs to the API to be stored with the job.\n\nFurthermore, a job is assigned to a press. This means the job was actually printed (processed) at a specific machine, by a specific operator, during a certain time
